F1 legend Michael Schumacher in coma after suffering tragic skiing accident

The seven-time F1 champion remains in an artificially induced coma at the Grenoble University Hospital Center after hitting his head on a rock while skiing off-piste with his 14-year-old son Mick. Speaking at a press conference this morning, his anaesthetist Professor Jean-Francois Payen said medics were working on an 'hour-by-hour basis' after the accident in the French resort of Meribel (inset). He added: 'We judge him to be in a very serious situation. We cannot tell what the outcome will be yet.
