2014 promises to be a stellar year for DJCuppy as she continues to make waves both in Europe and in West Africa. Upon turning 21 at the end of 2013, DJCuppy, has enjoyed transition from an aspiring DJ with over five years’ experience, to headlining at some of the premier clubs in London and Lagos. The student-by-day whom brought us a revival of Tunji Oyelana’s “I Love My Country” and her electrifying “Forever Summer” Mixtape, seems to be irresistible behind turntables. One of many memorable nights last year, DJCuppy, headlined at the exclusive Jalouse Club in London where she debuted her ‘Night Out With Cuppy’ series (Find that after the cut) Continue...Her growing reputation resulted in her being asked to be the main DJ for Mary J Blige’s recent tour of West Africa, which included dates in Nigeria and Ghana. She has also enjoyed playing at renowned venues in Dubai, New York, Cape Town, but to name a few cites. This growing exposure culminated in her being featured in the December’s edition of Tatler Magazine where she was listed as one of Nigeria’s youngest entrepreneurs in London.
The quality of work to date along with her determination to forge new pathways in the genre of ‘Neo-Afrobeats’ has resulted in a project pipeline for 2014 that will see DJCuppy work with UK, West African and American Artists. DJCuppy is definitely one to watch!
