Chris Okotie Defends his Statement on Catholic Churches – “They Pervert the Gospel of Jesus Christ”

Chris Okotie, the general overseer of the Household of God Church, recently announced his decision to contest for the Presidential seat on 2015.

In December 2013, he stirred up a lot of controversy when he made a startling statement that “Catholics will go to hell” and Pope Francis is “Anti-Christ”. In case you missed it, click here

To kick off his campaign for the election, he had an interview with a correspondent at Punch. And don’t expect him to retract his statement, as he stood by his words even giving a more elaborate explanation.

“It is because the church perverts the gospel of Jesus Christ and that perversion is located in the leadership.

Mrs Esther Egbo told reporters yesterday that they were members of the Badagry branch of Fireman's church and in the two years they've been in the church, they have never set eyes on the man. She said her son had been arrested four different times by the police for attempted rape and had even been charged to court and was only released on December 10, 2013. Continue...

Prophets From The Chosen Church Embarrass Themselves After Boasting Of Raising The Dead But Failed

Some prophets from The Chosen Church in Imo State have embarrassed themselves after claiming they could raise a man who died a month ago in Burkina Faso, and was brought to his home town, Imo State for burial. The prophets told the community leaders that they want permission to exhume his corpse so that the miracle could happen. The elders warned them and even said they shouldn’t worry to raise him. Pastor Daniel, who is the founder and Head Pastor at Rabboni Centre Ministries, situated at Zone 2 Ga-Rankuwa, north of Pretoria, said he was basically trying to prove that humans can be controlled by the spirit and they can eat anything to feed their bodies.
