Celine Dion has put her showbiz career on hold "indefinitely" to focus on her family and health issues faced by both her and her husband, according to a statement posted on her websiteWednesday morning. Her husband, René Angélil had surgery last December to remove a cancerous tumor, while Dion has been suffering from an ongoing illness causing inflammation in her throat muscles."I want to devote every
ounce of my strength and energy to my husband's healing, and to do so, it's important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children. I also want to apologize to all my fans everywhere, for inconveniencing them, and I thank them so much for their love and support," said Dion, who has canceled both her residency in Las Vegas and her upcoming Asia tour.
