There's happy news for — and from — Tyler Perry.
The actor and director, 45, and longtime girlfriend, model and activist Gelila Bekele, have welcomed their first child.
Perry let slip it would be a son a few months ago. Aman Tyler Perry arrived on Sunday, Nov. 30, according to multiple reports. "Aman," derived from Arabic, means peace.
"Mom and baby are happy and healthy," reports People.
After welcoming their baby boy, the parents sent out a birth announcement asking that in lieu of gifts, People reports, donations be made to Charity Water, an organization dedicated to providing clean water to developing countries.
