As a man with Ebola fights for his life in Dallas, President Obama meets Monday with his national security team to discuss containment of the deadly virus.
Obama and aides will also discuss ongoing efforts to help West Africa nations defeat the disease at its source.
Senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer told NBC's Meet The Press on Sunday that the administration is constantly evaluating its anti-Ebola strategy.
"There is no country in the world better prepared than the United States to deal with this," Pfeiffer said. "We have the best public health infrastructure and the best doctors in the world. We've been preparing for this eventuality since the outbreak in West Africa started seven months ago."
The Dallas case of Ebola is the first in the United States, putting more pressure on the Obama administration to respond.
Also on Monday, Obama will meet with financial regulators to discuss how new Wall Street rules are working.
Late in the afternoon, Obama will deliver remarks at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser.
